My friend, Les once told me, "If I ever get too old to listen to loud rock n roll, please shoot me." Listening to loud rock n roll while I am cooking is just part of what rocks my culinary world.
I have had the opportunity to interview a bunch of rockers, like Gilby Clarke, (Guns n Roses, Candy, Kill For Thrills, RockStar Super Nova TV) (he is my cousin) and Dick Dale, Norton Buffalo, Paul Thorn and many others.. I believe that anyone who can be creative on the stage, can probably be creative in the kitchen as well. They would just have to want to do that--but in the meantime, the music people still eat, have a few favorite recipes that their mama might have cooked for them, and lots of stories about touring and food on the road. Also pictured here are chefs, authors, farmers and foodies who rock heavy in the kitchen. I can personally recommend looking into the people, their music, their products, their restaurants and their books. It has been a pleasure hosting them on my KZFR 90.1 FM community radio show...Mama Roses Kitchen. www.KZFR.org
Check back here soon, you will be able to listen to some of these interviews on podcasts. That is the plan.
