- February 3, 2009 - Just returned from New York with a couple interviews of street food vendors, and then had Bobbi Tryon of the Here Today Coffee Cart at the Chico Farmer's Market talked about what it's like to get your cart up and running for business.
- January 20, 2009 - We created a few recipes straight from the recording studios with Jonathan Richman and Steve Amedee' & Jimmy Messa of the Subdudes. New CDs have been released recently and I'll be seeing Jonathan at Duffy's right here in Chico on Thursday. I'll record Steve's Gumbo recipe--afterall, if you are from Louisiana, you take your gumbo seriously.
- January 6, 2009 - First show of the new year, and I hosted Stevie Cook---singer, songwriter, musician, healer....cook. He cooked up some live music in the studio kitchen, told stories, whet our appetite with his recipes, and even washed the dishes after.
- December 30, 2008 - Dylan Seid & Rob Meraz of Dylan's Dharma, talking about their new CD, about growing up in Chico from grade school on, playing music, cooking, eating. They opened for Spark n' Cinder at the Park Pavilion New Year's Bash.
- December 16, 2008 - David Guzzetti, known in Chico for his role as a political activist (city council member), caterer, restauranteur, and host of Wood & Friends KZFR show was on hand to fill in some of the questions I had about his background and life here in Chico. He gave the recipe for his infamous Guzzetti bread spread; then Dick Contino, known as 'the world's best acordian player' talked with me from his home in Las Vegas about his long career and gave us a few recipes too.
- December 2, 2008 - Dan Hicks gave us a short historical view of his musical career, and a few recipes to go along with his quirky humor.
- November 18, 2008 - Dave Vert, guitarist, played a few tunes in the studio kitchen, Cheta Tchudi from Turkey Tail Farms, then Lansana Koyouta talked about his homeland, Guina, Africa.

- September 30, 2008 - Jazz pianist, Shigami Minetaka talked of her Japanese kitchen and the food cooked there while she was growing up. Then, Darro Grieco from Berkeley Olive Grove informed us about the differences in olive oil and how the Mission Olive thrives in the northstate.
- September 16, 2008 - Andrew Rush played his banjo and some original songs. Recorded broadcast of Carlo Petrini and the Slow Food Garden. Also a recording of Neil Young and Willie Nelson from Farm Aid.
- September 2, 2008 - More Slow Food with an online interview from Carlo Petrini and lots of talk about Slow Food Nation in San Francisco and Slow Food Rocks concert held the same weekend.
- August 19, 2008 - A day on the ranch with John Raftery and Tyler Dawley. We talked about chicken six ways, and what sustainable ranching is all about.
- August 5, 2008 - Astro-Foodology. The attraction to certain foods by your astrological sign with Alexandra Karacostas and Gayla Pierce.
- July 29, 2008 - Slow Food and Fast Music. Anya Fernald, director for Slow Food Nation talked about the upcoming Slow Food Nation event in San Francisco, and then Paul Thorn, song writer and musician from talked to us from his home in Tupelo, Mississippi. We played two cuts from Paul's CD, "Long Way From Tupelo".

- May 20, 2008 - Show me the bread. Breadmaker, Dave Miller took us on a breadmaking tour of how a master breadmaker spends his day. Miller Bakehouse is his home.
- May 6, 2008 - Thai Kitchen with my son, Rob Meraz, who just returned from Thailand. Also that day, Norton Buffalo stopped in and we talked food,music and Norton's upcoming fundraiser.
- April 1, 2008 - April Fool's with Pedro Isern of Isern Olive Oil, family olive oil producers in Chico, CA. I fooled around that day with fun food about fools day.
- March 5,2008 - Membership drive for KZFR. Allen Harthorne came to the studio to talk about sustainability and organic farming. Allen has Harpo Farms and is a long-time Chico resident.
- February 26, 2008 -Long-time culinary member, Angelo Lucido and friend, Norton Buffalo came in to talk about Angelo's Cucino Tricancira restaurant. Also this day, Katie Seigfried from Passion Flower Farm clued us in on dates, herbal creams and much, much more. Great lively show.
- February 5, 2008 - Coffee or tea? Susan Zimmer has written two books on the love of coffee, "Cappucino Cocktails" and "I Love Coffe". She'll give me the scoop on these and her insights to the coffee world. Also, Alec Binyon of Empire Coffee Train will be in the studio to discuss his passion for teas and what's happening at the train car.
- January 15, 2008 - Punk Rock and Rice. Eddie Spaghetti and his wife, Jessika (who is a caterer) were on to talk about touring with the Supersuckers band, and their favorite meals....how about a knuckle sandwich? Also in the studio with me was Greg Massa, of Massa Organics who taught us everything we should know about organic brown rice.
- January 1, 2008 -Happy New Year show. I called friends, took phone calls about favorite hangover cures and traditions around solstice and new year celebrations.
- December 18, 2007 - Susan Woolridge, poet, author and teacher joined me in the kitchen to read some of her food centric poetry, and some of her favorite poets as well. We called Susan Browne, poet, author and teacher who read her poetry too.
- December 4, 2007 - Margie Lapanja, Kitchen Goddess and author of Romancing the Stove, Food Men Love and Wild Woman in the kitchen gave great stories and recipes to go along. Then Kristina Shirenbeck and Lee Altier, professors of botany and agriculture, respectively, talked on food diversity, research and facts about our food environment.
- November 20, 2007 - Chef and Author, James Petterson. Check out his book, Cooking. 600 recipes, 1500 photographs, one kitchen education. Truly one of the most comprehensive cookbooks out there, with delicious recipes, easy to do instructions.
- November 6, 2007 - Bill DeBlonk sat in with an interview of Frank Zamacona, director and producer of many award-winning PBS, tv and video awards. Denny Latimer visited with information about the fundraiser, The Fall Ball, for the Blue RoomTheatre and food talk.
- October 30, 2007 - Lunch in the Kitchen: Laurie Niles joined me in my kitchen to interview Chef Ann Cooper, the renegade lunch lady, who is reinventing school lunch programs one kitchen at a time. It was a pledge drive show as well.
